| fin is a quick mover now, and he loves to sneak snacks! here are a few scenarios this week: he found these puffs in his diaper bag, got the lid off, stuck his arm in up to his armpit and then stuffed his mouth as fast as he could.
here he pulled the whole box of cheerios off of the coffee table.
here is a sequence of shots as i watched him in action.... racing across the kitchen...
disappearing around the corner...
to grab a box of nerds that daddy left out... (look at that serious concentration! oh, and that muffin top gut!)
then he tore it open with his bunny teeth!
and that is when mommy stepped in. no nerds for finley! sorry buddy! he's his daddy's boy! :)
funny, he is fourteen months old tomorrow and that is a 3-6 month onesie! what a shorty!
| It has been so entertaining to take Finley to his first swimming lessons. He is almost 14 months old and he is in the "Skip" class at the Y. Matt and I take turns getting in with him as he learns to float, blow bubbles, kick, splash and jump off the side. He definitely loves the water and can't get enough! However we have a hard time getting him to pay attention to the actual swimming lessons. His concentration stays mainly on the baby girls around him whose attention he is desperately trying to get by screaming at the top of his lungs, waving his arms, clapping or bursting out with laughter. His favorite part is jumping off the side to mommy or daddy - though he jumps whether we are looking or not! Here are some pictures! jumping in to daddy! at home before lessons walking around in his swim suit and tank top! (Linds, look what he is holding!)

it seems like i was just taking on the task of photographing finley in his halloween costume. he is ten months old now and all he wants to do is crawl, roll, and stand up. it is hard to keep him in one place, but we sure don't have a problem with getting him to smile. i actually put my tree up just days after halloween, as an act of making home here in michigan. finley loves the christmas tree (and the 12" tree in his bedroom). he points at it the second he wakes up in his bed and says "ttt". i have had to build a barracade to keep him out of the living room tree...which i have found he can weasel his way around if i give him enough un-monitored seconds to do so. today i put him in his "vintage" snap-waist christmas pj's and attempted to pose him in front of the tree. most of the photos i snapped were of his back or rear end as he whipped around to take down the tree. but here are a few of him facing the front. get a load of those teeth!

| I really do mean to get on here and update, but I lost my free bootleg wireless connection a few months ago. That kind of puts a damper on my bloglife. Anyway, we just got back from our trip to Nepal with Finley. It was a great trip! But as you can guess we are jetlagged like never before, thanks to the 20 pound baby we travelled with. Think 22 hours on planes, 18 hours of layovers, bad food, even worse movies and all the while holding a car battery on your lap. And, to add to the misery, we are trying to finish packing our home to move to Michigan (on Monday!). No fun, no fun at all. I will be in touch as soon as I can manage!
Nepal update coming soon!!!!! With delicious pictures!
